List Of Mass Fish & Bird Kills Worldwide

The first national headline covered thousands of birds that apparently fell from the sky, dead, on January 1, 2011.  Wildlife officials have blamed everything from fireworks startling the roosting birds, to blunt trauma caused by hail.  Flocks of birds typically don't fly at night, so trauma from hail or fireworks, are very weak arguments.

Since this was reported, many other mass animal kills have been reported world-wide. Everywhere from Sweden, to the US to the UK.

So far, mass deaths have only been reported for birds, fish and other marine life that typically cluster together.

I'll make this a sticky entry and update it as more reports are made.
